The Visionary Behind the Pivot: Krishna de Gruchy
In the summer of 2024, Krishna de Gruchy joined us as CEO with a very specific mission: to transform NeedAnOptom into the UK’s leading healthcare recruitment platform.
Krishna isn’t your typical corporate suit. He brings over 30 years of raw, front-line experience in the optical and healthcare sectors — a career spanning retail management at Specsavers, serving as a Senior General Manager at Europe’s largest high-street eye surgery centre, and holding CEO roles in private healthcare and cosmetic medicine. He’s even driven operational excellence at The Westover Medical Group.
When Krishna talks about clinical excellence, he’s not reading from a script. He’s lived it.
His vision for NeedAnOptom Healthcare is simple: Built by clinicians, for clinicians.
He believes that recruitment should be an extension of the care we provide to patients. If the clinician is happy, the patient receives better care. It’s that simple.
